Stuff --June 24, 2007

Mmkay, all of the currently in-use pages on AMC have been converted to PHP and the new layout. All of the links on the left menu now work, but pages that have links in them probably won't. If they don't, and it's linking to a page on AMC, change the .shtml in the address to .php and it should work. I'm going to update all those links soon.

Now, I'm going to work on making header images for the pages, instead of having .:.Title.:. at the top. I'll also be working on other small layout things, and then I'm going to start revising and updating a few things. After that, look forward to some new content. =D

Guess who's back? --June 23, 2007

Hey everyone! I'm back from my vacation. I had an awesome time, but it's nice to be home. In case you were wondering, I was on an Alaskan cruise, and we stopped at Juneau (Alaska), Skagway (Alaska), and Prince Rupert (Canada). It's so beautiful up there, and you wouldn't believe how many eagles I saw. Unless you live in a place where there's a lot of bald eagles, of course. Lots of ravens, too. ^^

So, my first goal for the site is to finish switching the layout, I think. And once I'm done with that, I'll move on. But first, I feel like spriting. Haven't done that in ages. It was probably because I was playing Pokémon Pinball RS, and kept thinking about how easy it would be to complete some of those sprites. Well, I'll see you around!

Also, I'd like to thank Foggeh for guarding the Cbox for spam while I was gone. ^^ Foggeh, if you'd like to, you can be the co-admin of the Cbox. =D

Vacation~ --June 12, 2007

Fwee, school is officially OUT. =D I'm going to be very busy packing and getting stuff ready for our family's vacation. Fwee, plane! =D I've never been on a plane before.

Anywho. Foggeh has the username and password for the Cbox, so she'll be in charge of it until I get back. =3

Also, with the layout, all but a few links are broken. If you would still like to access a page, change the .php in the address to .shtml and it should work. I've renamed a few links, though, so some won't work anyway.

...Xatu is the winner of the Battle Competition! I need to find a better name for that. x_X Dragonair and Pupitar are the new Pokémon.

This week is the last week of school, plus Monday and Tuesday next week, so I'll probably be pretty busy preparing for exams and overall making sure I haven't forgotten to do anything I meant to this year. I probably won't update until next week, and that will be a brief one, as next Thursday I'm leaving on vacation. With the amount of spam bots we've had recently, I'll probably ask someone to watch over the Cbox *coughfoggehcough*, and give them the admin info so they can delete/ban spam.

Anyway. I was thinking today about expanding the site to include information on Kirby games, too. ^^ Specifically Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. I once started to make a little handbook with info on all the enemies, so I think I may continue that on the site. We'll see.

Hey guys! What happened to the week, hmm? It seemed like just yesterday I was putting up a new pair of Pokémon in the Battle Stadium. Anyway, a new pair of Pokémon is up. Other than that, nothing new right now.

That huge lab report is now due Tuesday, so hurray! =D Things are better now, and once I finish that report, then I'll have much more time to devote to AMC. For now, go vote for a Pokémon! =3

Maybe you're wondering why I've sorta been neglecting AMC. I have a huge lab report due Wednesday, and I've barely started. Given my current mood, if I don't get a good chunk done today, I probably won't finish it, which would be bad, bad, and bad.

Stuff has been going on between me and some of my friends, and I'm just not in the mood to do anything creative, including writing content. If things don't go well on Monday, chances are I'll draw to vent, but that's it for creativeness.

New pair of Pokémon in the Battle Stadium. The current contenders are Vaporeon and Grumpig!

Other than that, nothing new, really. Polkadot-Mania is now Typhlosion's Den. I don't know what I'm going to do about the styleswitcher yet; right now I'll wait and see if a clearer answer comes from that poll.

So. My current game plan is working on a new DIV layout that's already in progress. I'm going to try as hard as I can to convert the current styles to it. After that, and probably in between, as the layout will take a while, I'm going to revise those pages still on the list. I actually might do some tonight. And finally, I'll work on some new things. I'd like to get a lot more gaming information up, especially on the Advanced generation.

I'll be gone this weekend, so don't expect any of this to get done soon. See ya~

Forums --May 1, 2007

I've been thinking, and I have decided to close the forums. They weren't active, never really were, and I lacked the motivation to try and make them. I've also been busy with school, band, friends, and family, and I've been trying not to spend every second of my free time on the computer. In short, I don't want to watch over the forums anymore. It's possible I'll bring them back in the future, but don't count on it being soon, if at all.

And before you ask, this won't affect the main site in any way. I know I haven't updated much lately, but I'm certainly not going to close AMC.

Anywho. Umm, nothing new for you guys, sorry. ^^;; I'm thinking about things to work on, and I know I should do something soon. *watches hits slowly fall* Aww, we used to have like 50 a day. Well, see you later!

But not much stuff. The Flareon Inferno style has a new banner, and needs new headers. I'll get to the headers later. I was working on a new, div layout, but I haven't done much with it and I might not for a while.

I removed the Raise a Pikachu game, since it's really old and unoriginal, and I gave up on the hope of making it more original. It was broken anyway, the Life meter didn't work for some reason.

To those of you that requested buttons... umm, don't expect them anytime soon. The buttons are probably the last thing on my to-do list right now... sorry. ^^;;

There's a lot of pages I need to revise, like "Tips and Tricks", "Life of a Fan", the remaining entry in the Trainer's Diary, and most of the Emerald pages. "Items" and "Forums Guide" need to be finished, and I need to rewrite the affiliation rules again. Well, I don't /need/ to, but I want to. Well. See ya later.

Edit: Fwee, the "Tips and Tricks" page has been revised. That and most of the other pages I mentioned above have been untouched since AMC's beginning, so they really need to be revised. I'll probably revise the last Trainer's Diary Entry next.

Yay. Update. --April 22, 2007

Guess what, there's something new! =D There's another story in the Trainer's Diary, about the last Pokémon I purified in Colosseum. The two other stories are in major need of revision, as well.

I'm starting some content about the TCG video game, since that's the game I've been playing so much lately. There are some other pages I have in progress, as well as pages that need to be revised, finished, rewritten, removed... And there's those buttons I need to make for people. Gack.

Edit: Hey, look, I'm finally starting to revise the horrible pages on the site. The Bird vs Dragon story in the Trainer's Diary has been rewritten. ^^

The Sprite Gallery has been updated a bit with some of my sprites, and there's a white background on it to make it prettier. Hope it's not too eye-hurting. I thought it would look better than weird gaps in between non-transparent sprites.

Spring break! Finally! =D I'm sorry for not updating as much as I used to, guys. I hate not spending time on this little site. *hugs site*

So, the Secret Base Location Guide is finally finished. =D I know I'm missing some; there's a few I can think of right now, but I'll add those later.

I removed the 'Clubs' section, since half of them were dead, anyway. I should clean up the affiliates list soon, too. If your site hasn't updated since February or earlier, you may be in danger of being removed. =/

Two of seven button requests are done. I'll send those to the people who requested them soon, and they'll go on the Request a Button page as well. That's all for now, see you later!

Hello, all, I'm not dead. I've been busy, and my general interest in computer-related activities has faded a bit. I've spent more time doing other things lately, but I'm not leaving the internet behind, don't worry.

So! Thanks to Butterfree's excellent review of my site, I have quite a lot that I can improve on, and most of my updating for a while will probably be spent improving the quality of the site.

RSE Starters --March 5, 2007

I made the Emerald Starters page into an RSE Starters page, since it's the same anyway. I added sprites to it, also. They're the DP sprites, but meh.

Fixed a few more pages. Anything that's not listed above will have old menus, since I made new SSI files. This page will always be up to date.

Characters --March 4, 2007

So, I suppose this is bring-back-pages-from-the-Freewebs-site week. I dusted off the Characters page and added Raticate. Soon to come are Absozard and Abyena, my Pokésona and alternate form of my Pokésona, respectively. XD They're the two Absol splices in my avatar, and they're also on the splices page. But they need to be redone.

I 'spose it's worth mentioning that I'm trying to even out the left menu and the right menu. XD It bothers me that the right one is so much longer...

Three updates in one day! This isn't quite a content update, more like a coding one that I randomly feel you should know about. I figured out what the problem was when I tried to put the layout code into a separate file so I could use SSI to make small changes to the layout to all the pages at once and stuff. So go me. It's fixed on the pages that have a filename starting with 'a', and on this page. It's 10:00 PM exactly according to my computer, and I'm done for tonight. Yup. Good night, all.

Hiatuses, ideas, fun? --February 18, 2007

Really, people. Don't close your site because it's losing hits, the ranking is lower, you think it's losing popularity, etc. Doing so will only make that hit count/ranking/popularity even lower. And it doesn't even matter! Who cares about a number? Being a webmaster and owning a website is supposed to be fun. New term in the webmaster world, no?

As far as original ideas, it's just plain wrong to use someone else's idea. The idea is unique to them, and it should stay unique to them. There's a whole world of possibilities out there, don't be lazy and just take one from someone else! They deserve to be the only one to use that idea, since they came up with it. Cool ideas that other people had aren't for you to take.

And just stop with these hiatuses. Please. Read the articles above, too.

Also, if you have an article you'd like me to link to, post in the Cbox. Thanks.

Well, you probably saw the drop-down styleswitcher... what am I saying, you can still see it. I like it a lot better than the normal list, but it doesn't work in IE. I'm searching for something on Google and I've asked for help on TCoD forums (not that I'll get help there), but I haven't found anything yet. So... the normal list is back for those of you using IE. *sigh*

Midnight Black Style --February 6, 2007

Yay, there's a new style! Midnight Black Style is now available. =) I'm also planning a layout featuring the Prehistoric Pokémon from the first generation. So... what do you think of this style? Please comment in the Cbox. ^^

Edit: I changed the Ruby and Sapphire page so it includes some general information. So basically, I added an information page. I also revised the Berry Glitch Fix page. There's nothing new, but now it's written much better. Hey, that page was unchanged since I wrote it for an older site how many years ago. Anyway, it's better now. There should be more stuff soon.

Another Edit: Yay, thanks to Kronakitty, the layout won't flash the default style when you go to a new page. =D I didn't think it was that simple to fix that. xDD

AMC's Birthday! =D --January 31, 2007

That's right, it's AMC's birthday! =D Hooray! I can't believe I've had this site for a year... *sniff* Thank you, everyone, for helping me make it this far. =D

So, to celebrate AMC's birthday, there's several new things. First of all, and probably the most noticable, is the new style, Tyranitar Green. I started this style quite a while ago, and finished it just recently for the site's birthday. I love how it turned out, so it's the default style now. Please leave comments in the cbox, mmkay?

The splash page is also redone. Kind of. There's a spiffy new image there that I made, combining my skills of both Paint and GIMP. I love how that turned out, too. ^^ The plugboard is on its own page now.

And, content! There's a new Forums Guide which is sadly still incomplete. But, I have a good portion done, and I do believe this is one of my most original ideas yet, as I've never seen another guide like this. Please, please, please, do not take it, mmkay? ^^

The Healing Guide has been partially revamped, as has the Thank You and About Me pages. I'll finish those rather soon. The affiliation rules should be revamped soon, too...

Happy birthday, AMC! =D It's been a wonderful year, and things will only get better from here, I'm sure. ^^
